We hold these convictions not as a creed imposed from without, but as truths discovered through careful exegesis. They reflect the apostolic faith as preached on the day of Pentecost and throughout the book of Acts.
One True God
The Father alone is the only true God — unequaled, undivided, and without rival. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; the Creator and Sustainer of all things. Biblical monotheism is not a theological footnote; it is the bedrock of the entire scriptural revelation. Jesus himself affirmed this when he declared, "The Father is the only true God" — distinguishing between himself and the God he worshiped, prayed to, and obeyed.
John 17:3 • Deuteronomy 6:4 • 1 Corinthians 8:6The Human Messiah
Jesus is the uniquely begotten human Son of God — the Second Adam, the promised seed of David, God's supreme agent in creation and redemption. He was miraculously conceived, born of a woman, lived a sinless human life, died for our sins, was raised from the dead by the power of his God, and was exalted to the right hand of the Father. He is Lord and Messiah by appointment and exaltation, not by eternal co-equal divine nature.
Acts 2:22 • Romans 1:3–4 • Philippians 2:9–11The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the power and presence of God — the divine energy by which the Father created, sustains, and works within his people. It is not a separate person in a tri-personal Godhead, but the very ruach (breath/spirit) of the one God, poured out upon believers to give life, guide into truth, and empower for service. The Spirit dwelling in us is the presence of God himself among his people.
Genesis 1:2 • Joel 2:28 • Acts 2:38The Coming Kingdom
We await the literal, bodily return of Jesus the Messiah to reign on a renewed earth. This is the Kingdom of God — not a spiritual realm entered at death, but the restoration of creation to God's original design under the rule of his appointed King. The resurrection of the dead is the believer's hope, not the immortality of the soul. This blessed hope is the lens through which all Scripture is to be read.
